Amaka Igwe
Award winning producer-director, Amaka Igwe has announced the launch of her TV channel, Q Networks.
In a statement released by the entertainment mogul, Igwe says the new channel will provide viewers with exciting movies, thrilling dramas, inspiring documentaries, general interest programmes and much more.
According to her, setting up the channel is one of her dreams and was factored by her deep passion for the entertainment industry.
‘Q has been a long time coming. In my over 22 years of working with television, I have felt an enormous television potentials, one where content producers can truly call home’ she said.
‘Q is primarily a series channel which presents programmes in a serial format. All programmes on this channel will be in multiple, connected or stand alone format, spanning several weeks, a quarter, multiple quarters or a year and beyond’.
The channel will commence airing soon on DSTV.
Igwe is popular for producing the nationally-famous Fuji House of Commotion, Checkmate and movies, Violated, Rattle Snake and others.
