Sylvester Stallone Is Plus One Today.

Sylvester Stallone turns 66 years old today Friday 6th July. Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone was born on July 6, 1946 in New York City, New York. The actor is most known for his many action roles throughout the years.

Stallone first started acting in the early 70s where he appeared in a few different films, including “The Party at Kitty and Stud’s,” “Capone,” “Death Race 2000” and “Farewell, My Lovely.” In 1976, Stallone starred in the acclaimed film “Rocky” in which he played the title character of Rocky Balboa. Stallone also wrote the spirit rousing film. For the film, Stallone was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role and for Best Writing in 1977 as well as two Golden Globes in the same categories.

Since “Rocky,” Stallone has been in multiple films, including “F.I.S.T.,” “Paradise Alley,” “Rocky II,” “Nighthawks,” “Victory” and “Rocky III.”

In 1982, Stallone began yet another franchise of movies that have become synonymous with the actor. Stallone stared in “First Blood” as John Rambo, a Vietnam War veteran that returns home and finds himself in a complicated situation.

Since “First Blood,” Stallone has continued to star in many films. Most of them being action flicks, but there are a few comedies thrown into the mix as well. Some of these films include “Rhinestone,” “Rambo: First Blood Part II,” “Rocky IV,” “Cobra,” “Over the Top,” “Rambo III,” “Lock Up,” “Tango & Cash,” “Rocky V,” “Oscar,” “Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot,” “Cliffhanger,” “Demolition Man,” “The Specialist,” “Judge Dredd,” “Assassins,” “Daylight,” “The Good Life,” “Cop Land,” “Get Carter,” “Driven,” “D-Tox,” “Avenging Angelo,” “Shade” and “Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over.”

In 2006, Stallone reprised his role of Rocky Balboa in the film of the same name. It had been sixteen years since “Rocky V.” Then in 2008, Stallone reprised his role of John Rambo in the film “Rambo.” It had been twenty years since he had played Rambo. In 2010, Stallone starred in, wrote and directed the action film “The Expendables.” He will reprise his role of Barney Ross later this year in “The Expendables 2.”

Along with appearing on the big screen, Stallone has also lent his voice to a couple of movies, including “Antz” and “Zookeeper.”
