The special adviser and personal secretary to the Edo State Governor Oyerinde Olaitan was shot and killed at his residence, Wednesday night in Benin City by suspected assassins.
Eyewitnesses say four gunmen broke into his fenced compound in Ugbor GRA, Benin City and shot him.
This is the latest bereavement to hit the Edo state governor as three journalists were killed in a car crash involving his convoy last week when a truck ran into the convoy.
