Foreign hostages killed In Kebbi State

A British and Italian hostage have been killed after a botched rescue attempt to free them from Al Qaeda kidnappers.

Chris McManus, from the North West of England, and his colleague Franco Lamolinara were working for an Italian construction firm, B Stabilini, in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State when they were kidnapped by members of the sect, Boko Haram, they had been held in custody for 10 months before search and rescue team combine of eight members of the Special Boat Service, supported by eight to 12 Royal Marine commandos, along with Nigerian troops came to rescue them, unfortunately they were killed before or during the operation. May their souls rest in peace.
