Balanced Diet for Women


A balanced diet is very important for preventing the human body from the birth of different diseases and to live a healthy life. Whether it is men or women; all people should eat a balanced diet. Simply speaking, balanced diet refers to a diet which offers all kinds of necessary minerals, vitamins etc. to the body. In this article, we are talking about the balanced diet for women. As a woman, you need to know about foods which are included in the balanced diet for you.

Women should consume at least 1000mg of calcium every day in order to protect themselves against osteoporosis and other kinds of bone diseases. Low fat milk, cheese and yogurt are considered as the best sources of calcium. Therefore, women should include these foods in their diet.

Magnesium and Vitamin D are very important for every woman for perfect absorption of calcium. In order to get Vitamin D, women should let the sunlight fall upon their body for sometime every day. Magnesium is offered by green fresh vegetables.

In order to have a healthy heart, women should eat those foods which are good for their heart. Foods which have very low saturated fat content are good for heart. Unsaturated fats are good for heart and foods which contain them should be eaten by women.

Instead of eating fast food or unhealthy snacks, women should eat fruits or foods like yogurt; when they feel to eat something. Eating fast food can never be good for women because fast food offers a large number of calories in one go to the body.

Women should not skip their breakfast. In the breakfast; women should consume yogurt which has very low sugar, orange juice, milk with whole grain cereals and fruits. Breakfast is very important as it gives the required energy to the body after waking up in the morning. Having sufficient breakfast will keep women feeling active for most of the day.

Iron which is offered by spinach etc. should also be included in a woman’s diet because Iron is very important for the production of blood in the body. Lack of iron causes anemia which is a serious disease.

Instead of eating processed foods, women should eat semi processed or fresh vegetables or foods. Eating fresh fruits and vegetables will save your body from getting empty calories.
