WHILE Adele told Vogue magazine that she was taking off “four or five years” to “be in love and be happy,” she has now amended her statement.
The six-time Grammy winner revealed that in fact she’ll only be taking off “five days” before heading back to work.
“I’ve a few days off now, and then it’s the Brit Awards here at home and then I’m straight into the studio,” Adele wrote in a blog post yesterday.
“BOYYAHH! 5 years? More like 5 days!”
The star’s statement will no doubt soothe many fans who were worried after the British songstress told Vogue, “I am f***ing off for four or five years … If I am constantly working, my relationships fail. So at least now I can have enough time to write a happy record.”
Adele also wrote in last night’s blog post that she keeps “having flashbacks to Sunday night.”
“I am so overwhelmed, it’s the strangest feeling,” said Adele of being the big winner at the 54th annual Grammy Awards.
“I have constant butterflies and goosebumps, it’s wearing me out but I LOVE it!”
Perhaps she can harness those emotions for some new songs.
