The fourth annual edition of the Lekki-Ajah International Cake Fair which is West Africa’s first international cake fair took place on Tuesday 21 and Wednesday 22nd of June 2011.
The venue for the event was Protea Hotel (Oakwood Park) on Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lekki, Lagos State.
In attendance were over fifty cake makers from Nigeria, Ghana, Benin Republic and other countries and a huge number of participants who graced the event.
Free and paid demonstration and hands on workshops took place, facilitated by renowned sugarcrafters like Sikuola Adewuyi (Cake ‘n’ Candy), Chinezie Ibuoka (Honey Suckle), Tosan Jemide (Cake By Tosan), Fehintola Adebowale (Sugar Magic), Ndrika Udoyeh (Bakers Option), Ayodeji Ajibade (Enchanti Cakes), Omolabake Abrigo (Cake Expression), Juliet Uzoeze (Cake Flair) and several others exciting demonstrations on desserts and intensive practical session on bread making and exotic breads.
The event was put togethere by Mel Cakes ‘n’ More (Miriam Nwokoro) and Just Cakes by Somchez (Eniye Okoye).
